The position is advertised as a full-time role with a 40-hour workweek, initially on a fixed-term contract through 31 December 2030, based at the BSP Fuessen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the daily training of the national squad (OK) and the national team (PK) at the BSP Fuessen
  • Primary responsibility for the athletic direction and targeted preparation for key international events such as the European and World Championships
  • Responsibility for training planning, management, and monitoring (including documentation of training data)
  • Responsibility for tournament planning, and coordination and organization of international tournaments and training camps registered with the DCV, including squad evaluations
  • Development of squad guidelines and qualification criteria for major international events, including timely submission to the sports management team
  • Close collaboration with the national youth coaches
  • Implementation of the sports director directives
  • Development of framework training plans and training methodology guidelines for the national squads in Olympic disciplines

Requirements

  • Trainer license (sports science with a focus on professional sport, DOSB trainer diploma as a coach, or comparable degree)
  • Several years of coaching experience in curling
  • Strong professional, social and strategic skills
  • Drivers license minimum class B (or comparable)
  • Fluent English; willingness to learn German
  • Computer skills (MS Office, email, etc.)
