Assistant Ice Technician

The Lethbridge Curling Club is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, hardworking individual to join our team as an Assistant Ice Technician for the 2026-2027 curling season.

Located in West Lethbridge at the Cavendish Centre, the Lethbridge Curling Club operates 10 sheets of curling ice and serves 550 members through 13 leagues, club bonspiels, school programs, rentals, and Curling Alberta-sanctioned events.

Term: Seasonal Full-Time, September 1 – April 15

Reporting to the Head Ice Technician, the successful candidate will assist in all aspects of ice installation, maintenance and facility operations. This position requires flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and special events throughout the season.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ice installation, including painting, sealing, flooding, houses, and lines

Requirements

• Team-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a cold environment
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks on and around the ice surface
