Curling Rink Caretaker

The Clive Curling Rink is seeking a Caretaker to support ice operations and facility upkeep for the curling season.

Caretaker Duties

• Installing and maintaining ice for curling season
• Overseeing the removal of ice at the end of the current season
• General running and maintenance of ice plant and other rink equipment
• Opening rink and having ice ready for regular curling events, rental events, and bonspiels (days and times to be determined)
• Scheduling ice rentals and overseeing renters while in the building
• Cleaning of lobby, washroom, curling area, and walkways, including changing the boot cleaner water weekly and vacuuming the lobby and curling area weekly
• Clearing ice and snow from rink entrance
• Periodical inspection of building and ice plant when not in use throughout the curling season
• Notifying the Board of Directors when any problems concerning the plant or equipment arise
• Willing to take an Ice Makers course if needed
