Curling Australia is seeking expressions of interest from experienced coaches to provide seasonal coaching support to its Mixed Doubles, Women's and Men's national team programs during the 2026-2027 international season. The appointments will support delivery of each team's agreed campaign plan and may include remote preparation, training blocks, tour events and benchmark competitions.
Coaches will work closely with the National Head Coach, athletes and other performance support personnel.
Responsibilities may include:
- Plan and lead agreed on-ice and off-ice training aligned with the team's performance priorities.
- Prepare and deliver coaching support at tour and benchmark events (pre-event practice planning, pre-game preparation, in-game support/game charting/video, post-game review).
- Contribute to event planning and coordination, including pre-event practice and team requirements.
- Review team and athlete performance following training blocks and events and contribute to end-of-season analysis and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Recognised curling coaching qualification appropriate to the appointment (e.g. NCCP Competition Coach/Competition Development Coach, UK Coaching Level 4, or World Curling coaching certification), or willingness to complete agreed coaching education.
- Significant coaching experience in international competition within a recognised national representative or high performance program, or recent elite curling experience as an international representative athlete.
- Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
- Willing and able to work flexible hours, including evenings/weekends, and travel internationally during the 2026-27 season.
- Strong spoken and written English.
