Assistant Ice Technician

The Granite Curling Club of Edmonton is a not-for-profit, public, inclusive club welcoming all ages and backgrounds, with a large membership of house and rental leagues. We are seeking an Assistant Ice Technician to start September 2026. This person is responsible for creating and maintaining the curling ice and assisting in building maintenance.

Key Accountabilities

• Assist in installing and maintaining high-standard curling ice
• Inspect and regularly clean the rink, curling locker room, curling lounge, and other related areas
• Complete AGLC Pro-Serve training to serve drinks in the lounge and fill in as bartender when required
• Conduct and document Health & Safety training and related protocols

Knowledge & Skills Required

• Excellent customer service skills
• Takes initiative and ownership of tasks; solutions-oriented and proactive
• Flexibility in personal schedule to meet the needs of the business (evenings/weekends)
• Ability to walk and maneuver with equipment on icy surfaces
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 kilos
• No previous experience required; experience would be an asset
