Curling Instructor

The Curling Instructor is responsible for teaching rental groups basic curling knowledge and informing guests of proper curling etiquette and building rules. The instructor will work with other staff to provide guests with a safe and fun curling experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach basic knowledge of rules, safety, etiquette, and game play
• Ensure safety waivers are signed by all curling participants
• Work with management staff to ensure adequate staff coverage
• Provide good customer experience and communicate participant counts to office staff
• Complete incident/accident reports and report equipment needs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Significant curling experience (3+ years of league, bonspiel, or playdown experience) and knowledge of rules, etiquette, and teaching techniques
• CPR/AED certified, or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire
• SafeSport Training Certified (or willing to obtain within 3 months) if working with groups of minors

Working Conditions: Standing on ice for several hours in an ice arena at temperatures around 40°F; repetitive motion.
