The Clive Curling Rink is seeking a Caretaker to support ice installation, maintenance, and general facility upkeep for the curling season.
Duties
- Installing and maintaining ice for the curling season
- Overseeing the removal of ice at the end of the current season
- General running and maintenance of ice plant and other rink equipment
- Opening the rink and having ice ready for regular curling events, rental events, and bonspiels (days and times to be determined)
- Scheduling ice rentals and overseeing renters while in the building
- Cleaning of lobby, washroom, curling area, and walkways
- Changing the boot cleaner water weekly
- Vacuuming the carpet in the lobby and curling area weekly
- Clearing ice and snow from the rink entrance
- Periodic inspection of the building and ice plant when not in use throughout the curling season
- Notifying the Board of Directors when any problems concerning the plant or equipment arise
- Willingness to take an Ice Makers course if needed
